Craft Club

Tune in on your creativity with process focused learning

Through fun crafts you’ll practice your fine-motor skills that will come in handy for any future jobs you might dream of. Your patience will automatically increase when we dive into the creative space of curiosity and hand crafts. Using all of our senses we’ll be working in flow.

With a background as a textile designer, specialised in printmaking, these classes will guide you through the fundamentals of creative thinking. You will explore various techniques to generate innovative ideas, and you will learn how to choose the right material to best finish your project.

You’ll be introduced to techniques such as printmaking (mono, stencil, block, collagraph), bookbinding, weaving, origami, repeat pattern, mark making, collage and more, depending on the classes you take.

In our Craft Club we cultivate positive behavior and encouragement of each other. This will create a calm and welcoming environment perfect for crafting together.

This adult class will take you through the ever surprising technique of mono printing. You will design your own mark making tools and stencils to create artworks on paper using a gelatine plate which prints every small detail applied. You will take inspiration from plants and flora.

This class will also focus on the important use of colour and composition. You will be guided through the design process to combine good combinations to create a beautiful body of art work.

All materials will be provided, plus tea/coffee and a snack.

Join me for 8 exciting after school classes in my garden studio. We will dive into this creative space and learn crafting skills through weaving, printing, and collaging. We will learn about design process and creative thinking, this means lots of PLAY. We will usually start the class with a warm up exercise to get us into the right state of making, often a surprising way to incorporate both left and right side of our brain. This also creates a relaxed environment without the pressure of making thing ‘perfect’.

If your child likes exploring and making a variety of crafts, this will be a great learning experience.
